The devastating earthquake took away lost of lives and making severe effects, physically and mentally. The earthquake followed by several aftershocks destroyed the houses of thousands of people in different districts of Nepal. With the monsoon on its way, the reports related to the other disaster like landslide and flood can't be ignored. The survivors will have to be resettled as soon as possible else we will be compelled to alibi more destruction. With the government being busy with its plan and policies for reconstruction, the residents of Okhaldhunga district still are awaiting for the relief amount of Rs. 15,000 that the government has already been committed to provide. It has been about more than 2 & half-months since the earthquake occurred but the people are still to receive the relief amount. Government stats says, almost around 18,064 houses were destroyed, 13,428 houses partially damaged & 7,033 houses suffered minor damage in the Okhaldhunga district due to the April 25 earthquake and its aftershocks.           Interestingly, Nepal Government's site http://nitc.gov.np/eq/  shows that, out of  Rs. 13,678,440,957, a total of Rs. 12,401,600,000 has already been spent. Moreover, regarding the fund, the site indicates only Rs. 1,276,840,957 is remain to be distributed. Nepal Government has been transparent regarding the funds being received to help the earthquake survivors, however, the government has kept silence over the amount of money being spent. In lack of transparency and accountability, the possible increment in corruption can't be overlooked. Besides, the government looks ill-prepared from the possible threats of the casualties that are likely to occur in near future.
