Ashok Tiwari who runs his business
at Thamel, currently at Belkot of Nuwakot District informed our team that 400
houses of Belkot are destroyed and people are compelled to spend their daily life
under the open skies. "Relief materials has not yet reached despite we
have suffered a lot in terms of lives and material. Because of the improper
dispose of dead livestocks, that place is vulnerable to be affected by Epidemic
diseases at any time. He further said, "On 19th Baisakh, the government
official reached the nearby Raatmaate VDC with 50 tents." There are 300 households
and due to lack of tents, chaotic situation created among villagers to snatch
the materials. Thus, police officials didn't distribute those tents. Relief
materials are kept under police custody still. The authorities urgently have to
distribute tents, medicines, foods and other relief materials.
