Interestingly, Nepal Government's site http://nitc.gov.np/eq/ shows that, out of Rs. 13,678,440,957, a total of Rs. 12,401,600,000 has already been spent. Moreover, regarding the fund, the site indicates only Rs. 1,276,840,957 is remain to be distributed. Nepal Government has been transparent regarding the funds being received to help the earthquake survivors, however, the government has kept silence over the amount of money being spent. In lack of transparency and accountability, the possible increment in corruption can't be overlooked. Besides, the government looks ill-prepared from the possible threats of the casualties that are likely to occur in near future.
